In the early 1960s, the famed author Truman Capote became friendly with several glamorous American socialites. Nicknamed ‘The Swans’, they were known for their extravagant fashion, excess of wealth and jet-set lifestyle. When Capote published their secrets in Esquire (excerpts from his unfinished book Answered Prayers), the women swore revenge on the writer.
